The first time I drove through this valley, I marveled at it's uniqueness . That was 30 years ago. Although there are more homes now, I still enjoy this special spot in Flagstaff.

Heat: The baseboard heating units work with hot water and take time to warm up the room. Therefore we ask if you could please use the freestanding heater as the primary source of heat. Please do not turn the Thermostat on the wall higher than 70 degrees.
Winter: Please consider the following tips to be prepared for cold weather and icy roads:
1. Dress appropriately: Pack warm clothing, and sturdy footwear.
2. Check weather conditions and stay updated.
3. Drive cautiously, and at a safe speed.
4. Have emergency supplies such as a blanket, flashlight, spare batteries, ice scraper, and a small shovel.
Luggage: To ensure the longevity and appearance of our property, we kindly request that you handle your luggage with care and avoid dragging, or bumping it against the walls, wood doors or stairs. Delicate surfaces such as painted walls or wood doors and stairs, can be easily scratched or marked by luggage.
Keurig Coffee Machine: Our coffee machine is set for high altitude. You must firmly push down on the K-cup until is seats. The machine will not be able to do this because of the pressure of being at 7,000 ft.
Laundry: Pods and dryer sheets located in drawer underneath refrigerator. Detergent pods are placed in the drum, not in the dispenser. Do not use bleach, as we are on a septic system.
Dishes: We would like to kindly request your cooperation regarding the handling of dishes and kitchenware during your time with us. To ensure proper sanitation and hygiene, we kindly ask that you refrain from hand washing the dishes that would be utilized by future guests, and instead, place in the dishwasher located in the closet. Please unplug dishwasher between uses and leave dishwasher door ajar. Plug and outlet are located to the right in the closet for the washer/dryer. We prefer to maintain consistent cleaning standards to ensure that all dishes are thoroughly sanitized for the health and safety of all future guests.
Smoking: We genuinely value your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a smoke-free environment for the comfort and well being of all guests. Smoking, of any kind, is strictly prohibited inside our home and anywhere on the property, including the grounds. If smoking is your personal preference, please smoke outside of the property. Littering the grounds with cigarette butts not only creates an unsightly environment, but can also pose a fire hazard.
Beds: To maintain the cleanliness and quality of our accommodations, we kindly request that you refrain from placing luggage or any other items on the beds. This helps us prevent potential stains or damage ensuring a comfortable environment for all our guests. In the event of accidental spillage or damage, we may need to charge for additional cleaning or required replacements. The cost to replace linens: Sheets-$40, Blanket-$50, Bedspread-$75. By following this simple guideline, you can help us maintain our high standards without incurring any additional charges. The cleaners will charge for additional loads of laundry and stain removal, this expense will be past on to the guest.
Towels: To ensure proper hygiene and prevent damage to the carpets or furniture, please place towels in the designated laundry basket provided in the bathroom. This helps us streamline our laundry process and keeps the room in excellent condition.
Shoes: To preserve the beauty of our expensive Cotton/Wool blend carpets, we request you place all shoes with the provided shoe tray placed on the stair landing. This allows us to ensure the carpets remain clean and free from any unnecessary wear or stains.
Pets: Our policy does not allow pets or emotional support animals, with the exception of service animals as defined by the ADA. We understand they provide comfort, but we must prioritize the needs and comfort of all our guests. Kindly notify us in advance if you will be accompanied by a service animal during your stay. This will enable us to make necessary arrangements and for you and your service animal. We appreciate you adhering to our pet policy, by doing so, we can maintain a clean and allergy-free environment for all our guests.
Damage: We take great pride in providing a comfortable and well maintained environment for all our guests. In the rare event that any damages occur during your stay, we kindly request that you inform us as soon as possible. This allows us to address the issue promptly and to minimize any inconvenience caused for the next guest. Our intention is to maintain a positive and enjoyable experience for all our guests, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Departure: Please bag and remove all trash from room and bathroom, place bagged only, (no loose trash) in receptacle by the entrance door. Turn off all lights and lock the entrance door. Be sure the balcony door is closed upstairs, and close the bedroom door at the top of the stairs for heat and cooling purposes. Please leave bed linens on the bed.
Early Check-In/Late Check-out: While we understand that early check-in or late check-out can be convenient for our guests, please note that it can disrupt our cleaning schedule of many homes, and impact the turnaround time. Your cooperation in adhering to these times, allow our cleaners sufficient time to prepare for all guests. If your require specific scheduling needs, we recommend reaching out in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your request. By respecting the designated check-in/out times, we can ensure that all guests have a clean and comfortable space upon arrival and our cleaners can provide their services efficiently. Please send me the code words "Winter Wonderland" through chat, verifying you agree to all these terms and conditions.

From I-40 take exit 207 Cosnino Rd. Turn north and drive 2.1 miles down Cosnino Rd to Townsend Winona Rd. Take a left at Townsend Winona Rd and drime 1 mile to Slayton Ranch Rd. Take a right on Slayton Ranch Rd and drive 1.9 miles. The road will curve at 90 degree turn to the right, our driveway is on the left at the apex of the curve. The address is on the fence and also the cinder block pillar that holds the gate. Our address is 8420 Slayton Ranch Rd. Drive through the gate and stay to the right. There is a parking sign located in front of some boulders. This is the guests designated parking spot.
